We are here to help you set up your personal trading server if you have not worked with a virtual private server (VPS) before
There are tutorials on this site if you would like to learn more about maintaining your VPS yourself
Our goal is to educate everyone in the community so you can look after your trades
- Creation of a Windows 2012 R2 VPS
- Installation of all security patches and updates
- Set auto update to OFF to avoid restarts during trading hours
- Configure “auto Terminate” to OFF in the Amazon console
- Installation of the MT4 / 5 software
- Installation of components required to run myfxbook
- Installation of the myfxbook EA
- All file copy to the MT4 / 5 directory ready for configuration
- Placing your .set file on the desktop, ready for installation
- Keep backups of all configuration files in case you ever need them
- Access to VPS maintenance tutorials
- Video support tutorials
- Send us your AWS login details so we can build your VPS (we cannot start without this)
- Send us your Expert Advisor file (we cannot start without this)
- You configure your Fusion / BeastMode / VIX/ Pro Index / Other EA
- Switch ON Automated trading
- Change any passwords after the build so only you know them
- Monitor for the first few days to make sure your EA is working correct
MT4 – MetaTrader 4. The trading Software we use to run the expert advisors Virtual Private Server
MT5 – MetaTrader 5. The trading Software we use to run the expert advisors Virtual Private Server
VPS – This is a computer that is physically located in a data centre (a specialised building in a secure location) Amazon Web Services.
AWS – The VPS hosting division of Amazon.com
.ex4 – Expert Advisor. This is the file that runs your trades. Examples are Fusion and ProIndex Eg. Fusion, BeastMode
.ex5 – Expert Advisor. This is the file that runs your trades. Examples are Fusion and ProIndex Eg. Fusion, BeastMode
.set – This is the settings file used to set the main settings of your EA. You import this file in MT4. Remember to set your custom settings after importing it
.rdp – This file connects you to your VPS A Setting file that you import into MT4 to load up the EA settings
.pem – The file that unlocks your original VPS password. You need this if you forget your password. This only unlocks the original password, so it won’t help you if you change the VPS password
